God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar announces retirement from IPL

Sachin Tendulkar on Sunday announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL) after Mumbai Indians' maiden title win.

'Never too late. It's a special moment. I can't wait to get hold of the trophy. Finally, we've been able to achieve our target. A big thank you to all the supporters. I think this is the right time to stop playing this tournament. I'm 40 and have to accept the reality. I have decided that this is my last season and it has ended perfectly. All the hard work has played off. Things don't come easily and the guys were prepared to do well.

Really a very sad news for the millions fans around this globe .....  But God Already Decided .... we cant do any more ... Miss u Sachin

God Of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar sets record for maximum fours in IPL history

Mumbai: Sachin Tendulkar may not have set this IPL season on fire but his 48 off 28 balls on Tuesday was enough for Mumbai Indians to end Kolkata Knight Riders' play-off hopes and brighten their own chances of reaching the knockout phase.



* With eight fours during his innings of 48 off 28 balls, Sachin Tendulkar has set a record for most fours (289) at the IPL.

* Tendulkar's strike rate of 171.42 is his second best at the IPL (minimum qualification: 50), behind the 196.88 while scoring 63 off 32 balls against Delhi Daredevils at Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi on March 17, 2010.

* Tendulkar has received his eighth Man-of-the-Match award in the IPL.

No desire to play T20’s for India said Sachin Tendulkar

Cricket God Sachin tendulkar said that I have no desire to play T20’s for India, because I took this decision after I was stressed with my ankles at the time when I played some T20 Cricket matches against Ireland in my 2007 summer tour in England. Because of my injury in ankles I'm not to give 100 percent to deliver for the team as well as my body doesn’t react well. So my heart doesn't allow me to do that because of not to give cent percent to Indian team. I support IPL for the reason that many Indian players got a great opportunity to show them to this world.

God of Cricket Sachin open the gates freely to make Test cricket for school children

Last Day Cricket God Sachin Tendulkar , who was at the launch of Harsha Bhogle's latest book on cricket "Out of the Box" , emphasised the need to take school children to Test cricket to if it is to remain popular.God of Cricket Sachin said that ,I started playing cricket when I was five years old but the first time I watched a Test match in a stadium was when i was ten years old .That was the match India vs West Indies. It is clearly deep-rooted in my memory as well as that is one experience no kid will forget. The more we invite kids to the game, the more the sport grows,.So i suggested that one stand at every venue during Test matches should be kept free for the weekends to bring school children into the ground. IPL chairman Lalit Modi said that “One of the suggestions I gave to the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) was to make Test cricket a day-night affair to allow people to come and watch it after their duty hours”.

John Gloster Advised Indian players to Skip Next IPL

John Gloster,the former Indian physiotherapist has advised Indian players to skip the next IPL (Indian Premier League) in order to avoid mind fatigue forward of the ICC T20 World Cup which is planned to begin in April next year.


When I was working with the Indian team, I observed that the players frequently missed their families and that home sickness is a factor that cannot be ignored. I spent much time in India as well as have an Indian wife. So I know what are the emotional wishes of Indians, He said for a player like Cricket god Sachin Tendulkar, it's difficult to keep away from the family for lengthy periods. God of cricket Sachin loves his family as well as I believe he is not joyful spending much time away from home. So only I ask Indian players to Skip Next IPL.
