Mumbai: Cricket God Sachin Tendulkar and some of former players have come in support of former India captain Ajit Wadekar in his quest to retain his seat as the President of the famous SPG (Shivaji Park Gymkhana) in Dadar. Supporting to Wadekar, who directed India to historic back-to- back series wins over the West Indies as well as England overseas in 1971, Sachin Tendulkar in a letter to the former Test batsman said In gymkhana, where he learnt his ropes as a youngster, “I am glad to hear that the Shivaji Park Gymkhana has produced so many cricketers for the state and the country, will be completing its centenary years soon. “It requires sporting headship and I hope that you continue to lead SPG as President in the centenary year too.
